Every itemized bathroom estimate from K & S typically covers:
- Demo of existing tub, shower, tile, vanity, and flooring
- Framing changes and structural support as needed
- Plumbing rough-in for new shower, tub, toilet, and vanity locations
- Electrical: vent fans, lighting, GFCI outlets, heated floor wiring
- Full shower waterproofing system (Schluter / Kerdi or equivalent)
- Custom tile installation — walls, niches, benches, floors
- Vanity installation with quartz, granite, or stone tops
- Frameless or semi-frameless glass shower enclosures
- Plumbing fixtures, mirrors, lighting, hardware, and final paint
Tub-to-shower conversions
One of the most common projects we do for Baltimore-area homeowners is converting an old fiberglass tub/shower combo into a large, walk-in tiled shower. We reframe the curb, re-plumb the valve, install a true waterproofing membrane, build niches and a bench if you want one, tile floor to ceiling, and finish with frameless glass.
Done right, a converted shower is more usable, easier to clean, and a major resale upgrade for the room.
